The 36-year-old actress Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman married in 2012 had their first child named Jonathan in 2016. Recently she opens about infertility while announcing her second pregnancy.
On Wednesday, the Oscar winning actress shared a selfie on Instagram and confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child and briefly touched upon her experience with fertility issues. Along with the euphoric announcement Hathaway also hinted that getting pregnant both times wasn’t easy. She even jokes about her baby bump saying, “It’s not for a movie”. She even writes “All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.”
Hathaway’s first pregnancy was also announced via Instagram, a decision she had made after realizing that paparazzi had been taking photos of her on vacation. “So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach, I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be that was taken with my consent. And with a filter)”, she wrote.
The actress and her husband welcomed their first boy child Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman on March 24,2016. Jonathan made a few appearances on his mom’s Instagram, appearing to watch Hathaway speak at the United Nations on a laptop in March 2017.
Shortly following their weddinging 2012, Hathaway talked about her desire to start a family in an interview. “Oh my God. I want to be a mother and I anticipate loving my children fiercely”, she stated. Now that she is pregnant for the second time it is clear that Hathaway is willing to make more time for the things that matter to her most.
